Whether you're a musician or just an avid music fan, Sandhills Jazz Society welcomes all lovers of jazz, blues, funk and soul and everything in between!
The Sandhills Jazz Society was founded out of determination, passion, community need and of course, the love for music. We were incorporated in 2018 as a community-based, 501(c)(3) nonprofit arts/educational organization located in Fayetteville, NC. From the onset, the society has worked diligently to help establish Fayetteville as a center for the creation and exchange of sounds between local, national and international music communities.
Our mission is to promote interest in jazz music across multiple generations, to actively engage a new generation in the efforts of the Society, and to have fun producing a financially viable annual All-American City Jazz Festival. We want to not only increase the appreciation of the music, but to strengthen the arts community by developing special projects, artistic exchanges, partnerships, educational workshops, community programs, and collaborations that further the art form. Our vision encompasses a wide spectrum of jazz, blues, world, creative, and improvised music, including evolving forms of jazz and the technologies and media that influence jazz as an art form.

We’ve got some exciting news! This year, the Sandhills Jazz Society is partnering with the Cumberland Community Foundation (CCF) for #GivingTuesday on Tuesday, December 1st.
We’re inviting our wonderful community of supporters to give local this year through CCF’s Giving Tuesday catalog. The best part? Every gift made between November 23rd and December 1st will be amplified by a generous $500,000+ matching fund organized by CCF. That means your support goes even further to keep our music education programs and live jazz thriving right here in our community!
How to Give (Nov 23 – Dec 1)
There are a few easy ways to make your tax-deductible gift count toward the match:

By Check: Make checks payable to “Cumberland Community Foundation” with “GivingTuesday – Sandhills Jazz Society” in the memo line.
Mail: Send to CCF, PO Box 2345, Fayetteville, NC 28302 (must arrive by Dec 1).
Drop Off: Use the secure street-facing mail slot at CCF (308 Green Street, Fayetteville, NC 28301).
Donor-Advised Funds: Make your grant recommendation payable to Cumberland Community Foundation (Tax ID: 58-1406831) designated for GivingTuesday – Sandhills Jazz Society.
Stock Gifts: Call CCF directly at (910) 483-4449 (ask for Mary Holmes x103 or Mary Anne Brooks x106) for setup instructions.
Charitable IRA Rollovers: If you’re 70½ or older, you can transfer funds directly from your IRA! Just let your plan administrator know, and drop CCF a quick call or email at Gifts@CumberlandCF.org so they know your gift is headed their way for the Sandhills Jazz Society
