We are excited to welcome Grammy award winner Norman Brown to the Independence Concert stage. Norman is an international touring artist that has sold over two million albums. This multi-platinum selling, chart-topping musician is an artist who is truly in service of music with the goal of being a force of positivity. His technical wizardry, soulful finesse and charisma have made him one of the most sought after internationally renowned contemporary jazz/R&B superstars that you won’t want to miss! Brown has collaborated with everyone from George Benson, Brian McKnight, Kirk Whalum, Miki Howard to Jeff Lorber, Gerald Albright, Rick Braun, Peabo Bryson, Chante Moore, and many others. 

Also performing is the Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra, a professional, regional orchestra whose mission is to educate, entertain, and inspire the citizens of the Fayetteville, North Carolina region as the leading musical resource. Praised for its artistic excellence, the symphony leads in the cultural and educational landscape for Fayetteville and our southeastern North Carolina region. The symphony performs a variety of concerts each year, including subscription concerts, free admission community concerts, and a laid back Symphony on Tap series. 

Special musical guests include Fayetteville Symphonic Band, and Black Seed featuring Von Demetriuz. The concert will conclude with fireworks. 

Gates open at 4pm and the concert begins at 7pm. Food truck vendors will be on site and beer/wine will be available for purchase. A kid’s area will also be available with free bounce house admission. 

Only service animals are permitted. Please no skateboards, bicycles, personal tents/canopies, or outside food/beverage or coolers.
